A matt black kitchen with deep green marble in 's-Gravenzande, designed at home in the Westland. The marble runs from worktop to back wall and pulls the green of the garden inside. The existing oak herringbone floor was kept and carries the kitchen.

The wish: feeling the garden every day
A family home in 's-Gravenzande with a garden you see from the kitchen, and a family that wanted to feel that garden every day. Not a kitchen you soon forget, but one that gives the house a face of its own.
The design: one material that carries the story
The answer came from the stone: a green marble, deep and dark, with white veining that moves as you walk past. That worktop continues into the back wall, so the kitchen gets one material and the green from outside is carried inside. Around it matt black fronts with minimalist handles and a black tap, so nothing distracts from the stone.
Materials and details
Under your feet lies the oak herringbone floor that had been in this house for years. We did not replace it but kept it, because a floor with a past only gets more beautiful with the years and matches the kitchen standing on it better every year. The marble was continued in one piece so the veining runs uninterrupted from worktop to wall.
The result
A kitchen in 's-Gravenzande you do not soon forget, and that is exactly the intention. Green, black and oak, three materials that strengthen each other.
